Grant Making

Giving priorities

Awarding grant dollars to nonprofits is one way we strengthen our communities and help individuals on a path to financial independence. To ensure we're meeting the needs of our communities and making an even greater collective impact, we focus on three key giving areas when awarding grants.

Apply for a grant

Ameriprise Financial accepts grant applications twice a year – Nov. 15 through Jan. 15 and March 15 through May 15.

Funding for new applicants is very limited. Ameriprise gives priority to existing grantees and nonprofits where our employees and advisors are active volunteers. Carefully review the Ameriprise grant making criteria. Learn more about our commitment to communities on our Community Impact page.
